Gifted Education

Region 16 is dedicated to delivering high quality educational experiences that enable  students to achieve their utmost capabilities.  We believe that effective classroom instruction, across all grade levels and content areas, revolves around providing excellent differentiated learning experiences.  We recognize that certain students may demonstrate exceptional abilities, warranting access to specific learning opportunities that go beyond the instructional school day. 

For our academically gifted students in Grades 5-8, Region 16 provides programming that includes high-interest units in addition to opportunities for participation in academic challenges/competitions and/or a self-selected inquiry.
