Message from the Superintendent
Good Morning,
On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire Region 16 administration, I am pleased to report the results of our annual budget vote held on May 5, 2025. The proposed 2025–2026 school budget was approved by a resounding margin, with 167 votes in favor and just 23 opposed. This landslide outcome affirms the adoption of a 2.97% budget increase for the upcoming school year.
We are deeply grateful to all members of the community who took the time to participate in this important process. The strong voter turnout and overwhelming support are powerful reflections of a community that values fiscal responsibility, stands behind a thoughtful and strategic budget, and continues to invest in the success of all Region 16 students and staff.
This vote of confidence speaks volumes about the trust you place in the Board’s stewardship, the administration’s planning, and—most importantly—your appreciation for the exceptional work being done across our schools every day. The Region 16 team remains committed to honoring that trust through careful planning, transparency, and a relentless focus on student success.
