Regional School District Sixteen School Delays, Cancellations, and Single Session Schedule

Radio stations that will carry information about these procedures are: WWCO (AM1240),WDRC (AM1360 & 102.9FM), WATR (AM1320), WELI (AM960), KC101 (101.3FM), WEZN (Star 99.9FM), WICC (AM600), and WEBE (108FM). TV stations include WTNH-TV (8), WFSB (3), and WVIT (30 and 20).
A delayed opening in Region 16 is ninety (90) minutes. All A.M. PSLC and Kindergarten students will report to school following a 90 minute delay schedule. They will arrive at school at 10:30am and be dismissed from school at 11:55am. All P.M. PLSC and Kindergarten students will report at 1pm and be dismissed at their regular time.
When school begins on time and an early dismissal is called, there will be no afternoon kindergarten. On early dismissal days (including single session days), morning PSLC and Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 10:30 a.m., high school students at 11:50 a.m., middle school students at 12:35 p.m., and elementary school students at 1:15 p.m. When school is dismissed early or cancelled, all evening activities that are sponsored by the school district or that use school district facilities are also cancelled as well.
Should a severe storm develop while school is in session and we feel, in the interest of safety, that it is necessary to dismiss students early, announcement will also be given to the radio and TV stations. The following times are for emergency early release only- not for single-session days.
