Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! I will continue to serve as the Reading Interventionist for both 4th and 5th grade. Students who qualify for reading intervention will meet with me at least 3 times per week for 30-45 minutes. Weekly progress monitoring will also occur to chart the growth made. I am looking forward to another exciting and challenging year!

Bulletin Board

This month of September is devoted to testing. Once the results of the AIMSweb Test are completed, then those students who qualify for reading intervention will be assigned a specific schedule/time to meet with me.

Also, the classroom teachers will be administering the DRA2 Assessment Test. This is new this year, and it will allow teachers to find a student's DRA level. This level will allow teachers to drive their instruction in a more effective way.

Both assessments listed above will be helpful to me in driving my instruction.
