Welcome to the Region 16 Website. This site was created to disseminate information quickly and easily and to open doors of communication. It is my hope that you will routinely visit the site to locate the wealth of information on school events, regional announcements, and specific teacher websites. The website is also an essential tool for notifying parents about cancelations,dismissals an any other critical concerns.
The Superintendent's Newsletter is a quarterly publication and is linked below and on the District's home page. The Newsletter is designed to provide timely information about the District's operations.
Educating children is a very serious obligation that requires the collective work of our professional staff, families and the community . Working together we can achieve our District's Mission, " The mission of Regional School District #16 is to create a better world by helping each student reach his or her highest potential".
I believe that holding high expectations for student learning results in higher achievement.
- I believe that the most important thing that happens in our schools is the interaction between teacher and student and that all efforts should be made to facilitate that interaction.
- I believe that the family has the most powerful influence in their child's educational process and for the greatest effect a partnership with the teacher/school must be formed.
- I believe in a well rounded curriculum where the academic disciplines are enriched by the fine and practical arts. Further, I believe that healthy bodies support healthy minds.
- I believe drugs and substance abuse destroys the lives of individuals and their families and that every effort should be made to dissuade the use and abuse of such substances.
- I believe that through collaboration and discourse, sound solutions are discovered.
- I value honesty, integrity, and hard work.
- I value collegiality, dependability, and collaboration.
